Marvel Animation 6 Film Set

Now superhero and animation fans can collect all 6 Marvel animated features for $50 – or less if they shop around. The problem is most of the people this would appeal to have already picked up a few of the films will need to do some serious soul searching in order to plunk down the extra money to possibly buy the same films over again just to pick up a few others they may or may not be interested in when they can be found individually for $10 – $15.
So the question is if you don’t one any of these films, do you want to? If yoou have one or two is it worth the price to complete the set?
Let me direct you to the four reviews I conducted previously of four of the six films presented here.
As for the other two, Doctor Strange deals with the origin story of the Marvel universe mystic and Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow deals with an alternate future where the kids of the heroes need to save the day. Each of these are similar in tone and content, and depending on your fondness for the material would generate a review score between 6 and 8 out of 10.
Really, the best of the bunch here is The Invincible Iron Man and Doctor Strange. These are origin stories that are fairly well done, and true (for the most part) to the source material. You can pick up both movies for about $25 and be happy with the purchase. I mentioned that Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Avengers 2 should have been one film. To that end the value is diminished further because this issue has not been rectified.
If you’ve seen a couple of these films, then you know what you’re in for. If not, you should test the waters by renting a couple of them or borrowing them off of friends. If you like them, then there’s a decent amount of value to be had here.
