There really is no need for this. Battlestar Galactica has not been released on Blu-ray, so why bother releasing the 6th of 6 season sets (even though there are only 4 seasons, two of them have been released in half season sets) on the format when there are apparently no plans to release the rest of the series on the format in the same way.
Instead, if you’re going to plunk down some cash for the series set on Blu-ray, you may as well pick up the series set – even with its packaging flaws. As far as I know, there are no plans to release the other 5 season sets individually on Blu-ray, so this was a pointless release.
