It seems that Xbox LIVE history was made recently…

I spent Sunday November 2, like a lot of you, playing games. I wound up playing Amped 2 mostly, but another large chunk of time was spent playing Crimson Skies – both online. There were a few other games as well, but those were the two I played the most.

It seems most of you, however, were playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3. Over the course of the day, 24,478 gamers logged in to Xbox LIVE to play the game, with 6,731 at one point playing simultaneously.

Overall, 83,652 unique users spent 262,268 hours on Xbox LIVE (more than three hours per user). That’s a lot of online gaming. The sad thing was that none of the people I actually wanted to play with (those on my friends list) were online when I was. I still had a massive ammount of fun though.
