FROM THE PRESS RELEASE

NHL(R) 06 has shipped from Electronic Arts (ERTS), the world’s leading interactive software company. Hockey fans can start the season early and test their skills in the #1 worldwide selling hockey franchise to date.

EA SPORTS(TM) NHL 06 lets you take complete control of every scoring opportunity and become an offensive superstar. It features an all-new Skill Stick and the return of classic deke controls, letting you express your playing style by pulling off the highlight reel moves of an NHL All-Star. With an all-new intuitive control scheme that provides smoother gameplay, NHL 06 delivers a complete game experience true to the sport itself.

Vincent Lecavalier, the highly-skilled assistant captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning and one of the most decorated young stars in the NHL(R), graces the cover of NHL 06. In 2003-04, Lecavalier, 25, led the Lightning to the Stanley Cup(R) Championship in an exciting seven-game series against the Calgary Flames. Three months later, Lecavalier was named the Most Valuable Player during the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and lead Team Canada to the gold medal.

NHL 06, developed by EA Canada in Vancouver, B.C., is available on the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft, the Nintendo GameCube(TM), and PC this fall. The game is rated “E10+” (Everyone 10+) by the ESRB.
