Electronic Arts is getting a head start on the college football season with the release of NCAA College Football 2004 for the GameCube, Xbox and Playstation 2. In stores now, the game features over 150 new teams including classic teams like 1924 Notre Dame and 2002 Ohio State and new 1-A conferences like the Big Sky, Southern, Gateway and A-10. Other additions include more mascots, and school specific celebrations.
Perhaps the biggest addition to the franchise though is online play on the PS2. Here players can (via USB headset) talk to each other, and keep tabs of who is the best player with the scoreboard.
