Konami of America has unveiled the main song list for DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution (DDRMAX2) for the PS2. Featuring over 65 songs (including more than 25 hidden songs) in a wide array of genres, DDRMAX2 gets players off the couch and onto the virtual dance floor. The game not only features a new graphical interface showcasing actual music videos from some of the participating artists, there are new modes of play.
In addition to the extremely popular Workout Mode, DDRMAX2 features Beginner Mode – designed to help newcomers to the series. Additionally, for the hardcore dance freaks, there are two further modes to test the endurance of gamers. Nonstop Mode offers numerous themed courses that are played without any breaks between songs. Endless Mode is the ultimate dance-a-thon where players dance to every song in the game as one continuous mix.
“Dance Dance Revolution has always been known for its revolutionary gameplay and pulsating music. Now, DDRMAX2 brings the revolution to the masses by raising the bar in both areas,” said Jason Enos, product manager at Konami of America, Inc. “The exciting catalog of music, videos and difficulty settings in DDRMAX2 offers something for everyone, and is a testament to the ever-growing popularity of the series.”
The game will be sold as a bundle with dance pads, and as a stand alone game for those that already have the peripheral.
