Got Game Entertainment LLC today announced a North American publishing agreement with dtp entertainment (Hamburg/Germany) for Memento Mori (PC), a mystery-adventure game set in a modern world of priceless museum art entangled with ancient beliefs. Developed by Centauri Productions, Memento Mori is imbued with the mystery and intrigue of contemporary detective work, classic art thievery, and a religious brotherhood shepherded by a centuries-old guide to death. The game will make its retail debut in early July 2009 at $29.99 (USD). Memento Mori is not yet rated by the ESRB.
For all those intrigued by dark mysteries, religious conspiracies, and the machinations of the art world, Memento Mori will be the chill perfectus this summer, said Got Game Entertainment President Howard Horowitz. This is a great mystery-adventure game that skillfully immerses the player in a thrilling, modern detective story wrapped in very real ancient truths and dogmatic beliefs.
About Memento Mori
When three priceless works of art are stolen from the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, the circumstances suggest that a secret society is behind the heist. Max, a reformed art forger, and Lara, the police detective who gave Max his second chance, team to find the missing art and unlock the mysteries of an ancient brotherhood obsessed with the 15th Century Latin work, Ars Moriendi or the Art of Dying. As Max and Laras theft investigation deepens, they discover that when the powerful worlds of art and religion collide, the result can be murder!
