PBS KIDS and Paramount Home Entertainment debut WORDGIRL, an exciting, new animated series that follows the adventures of a superhero who fights crime and enriches vocabulary usage all in a dayR17;s work.  Kids can join WordGirl as she battles numerous villains in her new-to-DVD adventures R11; WORDGIRL Earth Day Girl – available on March 30, 2010. Only a superhero like WordGirl, endowed with power punches and dictionary strength, can put
word-wrenching scoundrels back in their place proving that crime doesn’t pay…but knowing the right word for the right moment is priceless. A 2008 Emmy Award® winner for Best Writing in Animation and recipient of a Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children’s Programming, WORDGIRL is a fun and educational series with a superhero twist produced by Scholastic Media.     The WORDGIRL Earth Day Girl DVD includes eight adventures, interactive games, video shorts, coloring pages and each episode introduces four new vocabulary words and reinforces their meanings in a variety of contexts. WORDGIRL Earth Day Girl will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.99.

WORDGIRL Earth Day Girl is presented in widescreen with Dolby Digital English Stereo.  The run time is 100 minutes.  The DVD includes the following:
