Sprint across the finish line with the sidesplitting comedy The Comebacks, scoring points as an Unrated DVD January 29th from Fox Home Entertainment. Spoofing some of the most inspirational sports films of all time including Remember the Titans, Radio, Bend It Like Beckham, Miracle, Drumline, Friday Night Lights, Rocky, Field of Dreams, Invincible, Dodgeball and The Longest Yard, The Comebacks follows an out-of-luck coach who is persuaded to take to the field one last time and drives a rag-tag team of misfits towards a football championship. Directed by Tom Brady (The Hot Chick, The Animal), The Comebacks features laugh-out-loud performances from David Koechner (Anchorman, Balls Of Fury), Carl Weathers (Rocky, Action Jackson), and a talented young cast including Matthew Lawrence (The Hot Chick), Brooke Nevin (The Perfect Suspect), Jackie Long (Idlewild), and Jesse Garcia (Father Figure), plus features outrageous cameos by basketball bad-boy Dennis Rodman, in-your-face Comedian Andy Dick and ?Dancing With The Stars? winner Drew Lachey.
The Comebacks Unrated DVD goes into overtime with a brand new version of the film too out-of-bounds for theaters, plus extras including director commentary, several featurettes, deleted scenes and more. The Comebacks will also be available in the theatrical PG-13 rated edition presented in both widescreen and full screen versions on a flipper disc. Both versions of The Comebacks hit hard on DVD at the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $43.48 Canada.
Synopsis
