The 2007-08 season was a memorable one for the Detroit Red Wings as they went on to win their 11th Stanley Cup – their fourth title in the past 11 seasons. Now, Warner Home Video (WHV) and the National Hockey League (NHL) are teaming up to release a special edition 4-disc DVD commemorating the team’s latest accomplishment. Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup Champions 2007-2008 Special Edition contains all six Stanley Cup Final games against the Pittsburgh Penguins in their original broadcast form, along with full coverage of the key moments, highlights, insights and behind-the-scenes action of the championship season. Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup Champions 2007-2008 Special Edition will hit stores nationwide on October 7th, 2008 for $39.92 SRP.
The unstoppable 2007-08 Detroit Red Wings skated, checked and shot their way through the NHL regular season, winning the Presidents’ Trophy as the club with the best overall record. They continued their dominance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, Nicklas Lidstrom and the rest of the Red Wings triumphed over the competition and achieved championship glory.
