Global wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: JMDT) announced today the launch of Activision, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: ATVI) “Tony Hawk’s Underground 2″ for wireless.

This latest entry in the popular skateboarding series catapults players into an all-out skating blitzkrieg led by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and Bam Margera, star of MTV’s “Viva La Bam.” Players will embark on a world tour and pull-off a dazzling array of real skateboarding moves along the way.

“Tony Hawk’s Underground 2″ for wireless also continues the critical success of the franchise. The game has received top reviews from the leading enthusiast media including an 8.8 out of 10 from IGN.

“We are excited to bring the next chapter of the ‘Tony Hawk’s Underground’ series to wireless users across the country,” said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. “‘Tony Hawk’s Underground 2′ for wireless has received great reviews and is an excellent addition to JAMDAT’s broad slate of games.”

“Tony Hawk’s Underground 2″ is currently available through Verizon Wireless. Customers can purchase it using Get It Now-capable phones. Availability will depend on their individual phone model.
