FROM THE PRESS RELEASE

BAWLS Guarana, the beverage of choice in video gaming, is set to sponsor The Penny Arcade Exposition 2006 on August 25-27 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington. Teaming with Penny Arcade grants BAWLS Guarana access to the largest laptop, tabletop and PC gaming festivals in the nation, where this year’s attendance is projected to hit 15,000 gamers.

The partnership is one of many 2006 gaming events sponsored by BAWLS Guarana, known as the drink of choice in the $11.5 billion video gaming industry. “Video gamers are our most loyal customers and a major part of our brand’s growth over the last ten years,” commented CEO Hoby Buppert. “We’re excited to provide that boost needed to keep Penny Arcade’s competitors playing throughout the night.”

“Penny Arcade is not just a large-scale tournament but a festival of all things gaming and BAWLS is a staple at nearly all gaming events,” said Robert Khoo, Director of Business Development for PAX 2006. “The BAWLS Guarana booth is always a fun, interactive part of Penny Arcade and I am thrilled to have them on board again this year.”

The BAWLS team will host an interactive product booth at the event, equipped with thousands of bottles of BAWLS Guarana, free BAWLS swag and their newer caffeine-charged products including BAWLS Mints and SnoBAWLS, a frozen version of the drink. BAWLS Guarana beverages will be on sale for all-day and all-night gaming at the three-day gaming event. Gamers can also play their favorite classic Nintendo games at the BAWLS Gaming Lounge, open to attendees throughout the weekend. An impromptu tournament will also be held for visitors to test their skills in games including Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros and Dr. Mario.

No stranger to the gaming world, high-caffeine BAWLS Guarana enjoys a cult-like following in the gaming industry. BAWLS sponsors an average of 40 to 50 video gaming parties and tournaments ranging in size from dozens to thousands of players every week, making it the largest sponsor of electronic gaming. BAWLS also hosts BGCG.net, an online gaming community dedicated to BAWLS drinkers. BAWLS Guarana’s unique blue bottle is even featured in video games including Greg Hasting’s Tournament Paintball MAX’D and Run Like Hell.
