FROM THE PRESS RELEASE
The timely and compelling true story of a beautiful teenager who used Internet chat rooms to lure men into her cyberspace web makes its DVD debut when talhotblond arrives March 23, 2010 from Paramount Home Entertainment. When the girl known by the screen name “talhotblond” discovers that she’s been lied to by one of her online beaus, she wants revenge and unleashes a fantasy online that escalates into real life murder…all because of a girl no one ever met in person. The critically-acclaimed and award-winning documentary draws from exclusive access to Internet messages, secret notes and letters, as well as police evidence files and exclusive interviews, to detail the horrific results of what can happen when people lie online.
Daily Variety called talhotblond a “twisted true-crimer…with an ingenious narrative device and solid cutting between multitudes of salacious instant messages and exclusive interviews.” Written and directed by Emmy Award®-winning journalist Barbara Schroeder, the film was named best documentary at the Seattle Film Festival and Cinema City International Film Festival and was one of the top three finalists at the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam.
The talhotblond DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround.
