My father is back in town for a few weeks. Technically, he’s my step-father, but he’s the guy listed as my father in both legal documents as well as in my heart. He’s from Ireland, which is where he lives now. He and my mother split up, and it’s a really long story that I’ll post about some other time. The long and short of it is, though, that he flies in tonight and a bunch of us are headed to the pub for a beer or three with him.
Partly because I’m lame, but also because I’m going to take a vacation day (with a planned hangover) there won’t be any updates to the website tomorrow – which is Wednesday, the day you’re probably reading this, in which case it will be today. In that case, allow me some “time travel posting” for the following paragraph.

My dad flew in from Ireland last night. Since we don’t see him much since moving back there we were all anxious to see him so we headed out to the pub. I was up much later than my usual bed time – which I won’t go into here as it will only demonstrate just how old and lame I am – as well as having far too many beers than I usually consume in a week let alone a night. I slept in, have a hangover, and need to figure out where this blue French Horn came from. Not much is going to get done today on the website as a result.
